The Dorgard works by "listening" for a building's fire alarm and releasing once it goes off - ideal for use on doors that only occasionally need to be held open where you can hear the alarm clearly but it's impractical to run cable for an electro-magnetic door holder.

The Dorgard is the answer to a serious issue of price and practicality in buildings with fire alarms, and  with its quick installation design and and easy setup you can upgrade a closing fire door to a hold-open fire door in very little time.

This unit is supplied in black but is also available in white or red.
