This is Zoo Hardware's 67.5mm case depth euro profile mortice sashlock with a stainless steel forend and strike, ideally suited for exterior and internal locking doors, including fire doors, where an appropriate lever on plate handle is to be used.

In the days before DIN standard locks entered the market it was the 48mm centre handle that you'd find most commonly in homes and public buildings, designed to suit the standard lever on backplate door handle. Though their usage is becoming less common you'll still find them in many doors in homes and public buildings.

The latch is operated by a lever handle from either side. The dead bolt is operated by key from either side if using a double cylinder or the key from outside and thumbturn inside if using a cylinder and turn. It is pierced to take bolt through fixings if using levers on roses and separate escutcheons. The case depth is 67.5mm including faceplate and it has a backset of 44.5mm. Having 47.5mm centres it can be used with levers on a backplate with similar dimensions.The faceplate is 166 x 25mm and there is a plastic back box to fit behind the strike in the frame. It can be used in FD30 and FD60 fire doors when fitted with the correct intumescent kit, and comes with fixings for wooden doors.
